Overview

It was an honor to provide master planning services for an 88-acre community expansion thus setting the stage for our ninth, tenth, and eleventh major construction project collaboration with the Army Residence Community (ARC).

The ARC is a top-notch non-profit organization offering first-class services and amenities to the people who have dedicated their lives to our nation, retired career military officers and their spouses.

In 2009 the original 33-acre campus reached its capacity.  Therefore, to better serve its residents and reposition itself in the retirement community market, The Board of Directors elected to expand and update activities, amenities, and living options by purchasing and developing 88-acres across the street from the original campus.

Numerous collaborative meetings with the project team combined with knowledge of Civil, Landscape and Architectural disciplines allowed Rheinlander Architects to envision the client’s future, identify clear solutions, and develop flexible project phasing.

Our vision for this design utilized spatial division to facilitate movement through the site while taking advantage of its natural state to maximize resources and opportunities.
